Christopher Riggs is an intrepid explorer of rarefied realms hidden beneath the surface of guitar vocabulary and expectation. He has created an instantly appealing, encompassing soundworld wholly comprised of texture and nuance, sounding like a (fun/engaging/evocative) science-sound and scienceing like a sound-science (and we're the better for having heard it). This is the essence of sharing closely-held developments...it's personal and universal at the same time. When I booked my trip to visit my good friend (and amp builder extraordinaire/engineer par excellence) Tim Schroeder, I reached out to Chris and he was into the idea of our meeting for a session. I'm so glad to present our mutual explorations as they unfolded. I left in some of the behind-the-scenes moments, a mini-documentary within the formal proceedings. Thanks to Tim for hosting & capturing this in glorious 24/96 resolution, to Chris for his enthusiasm and invention, and to you for listening. Please enjoy.
