This was a fun night. I had the pleasure of opening for the extraordinary bands Fuiste, Nihilist Cheerleader, and Art Contest, the latter celebrating their new release. Caledonia is a great room for playing and listening, and I was bathed in a circle of cooling fans and kinetic snare activity (and kindly attentive audience) for the duration of my set. These are a wondrous part of live life, often hermetically removed from sonic documents. But here they remain, integral to the unfolding of the evening's music. In parts of Africa to this day, music isn't complete without buzzing, rattles, and all manner of natural distortions. Perhaps it's all a matter of degree, since soundfuzzies are with us all the time, even in the silkiest productions. Turn it up, and they're there. Please enjoy and thanks for listening.

One of my favorite albums ever! It beautifully captures the sound and spirit of where we live. I was honored to be the engineer for the session, and it is a highlight in my history as a record mogul. Killick
The second EP from Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart runs from gentle folk to pillowy pop ballads, all perfectly executed. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 15, 2024
