It was serendipitous when I contacted Sandy Ewen about working together...her travels would bring her to Athens very soon after, and this duo project materialized. Sandy has taken the guitar into completely new realms, with hardly the barest hints of conventional vocabulary in the mix. There are hidden sound crevasses an unmodified electric guitar reveals only with patience and complete dedication. Sandy has walked this path with remarkable results. The effect to me is meditative...listening is evocative and removed from concerns of what comes next; it's very present. What a cool collaboration to have. Everything was recorded direct into the computer, live with no edits. I'm panned center playing a different instrument on each track, and Sandy moves between the left and right channels. Thanks as always for listening.
