This is the 2nd night of my recent tour...it was wonderful to be reunited with longtime friends: melodicist extraordinaire Susan Alcorn and wildly inventive Samuel Burt. We were joined by my new friend Dave Benham, a virtuoso of many flutes, bringing breath to our strings and things. I began the evening and Susan joined in after a few minutes. Then the quartet played, and we were graciously asked to do an encore. There are many moments of transcendence throughout. All of us as individuals and as a group entered previously unnoticed windows and doors, rising beyond our conditioning towards the truly new, allowing sudden grace from unfamiliar footsteps. There's magic in this, a lovely dream of an evening. Thanks as always for listening, and be well.
