This goes deep. Over the three hour+ arc of our tour document things beneath the surface stir. Monique and I undertook a magical, beautiful, extreme, and any other profound adjective'd excursion to connect with a part of the country we'd never performed in, even as it is so close to home. We met so many supportive people, heard lots of amazing music, and shared in the comedies and tragedies and poignancies unfolding in daily life in Florida circa 2019. The music took on different characters each night in response to the externals and our inner directives. The recordings reflect the openness and dynamics, variously full bore and lean-in-ready. In mastering I retained the range from whisper to roar for maximum emotive contour. I only wish you could experience the additional element, Monique's movement, from slapstick to grace to banshee, sometimes all at once. But perhaps the vocal gestures present here convey the dance too. It jogs my memory for sure. Monique has created a complicated array of suites in tandem with my instrumentalisms, balancing pathos, candor, sublimity, and raw upheaval...I feel we've both grown in our understanding of what this endeavor is all about. Thanks so much as always for listening.

One of my favorite albums ever! It beautifully captures the sound and spirit of where we live. I was honored to be the engineer for the session, and it is a highlight in my history as a record mogul. Killick
