Simone Baron and Carrie Frey are two of the best musicians I've ever encountered. The opportunity to play with them was a dream. I heard both the night prior at Hendershot's in Athens with Simone's brilliant ensemble Arco Belo...a truly wonderful evening in one of our most cherished community hubs. The next day as winter subtly attempted to reassert itself, we met at the lovely mountain setting of Hambidge. Water in different forms was our host and spirit accompanist throughout. The music flowed like water dancing below our feet and on our rooftop. Simone came up with the perfect title for the recording. I hope this finds you well. Thanks as always for listening.
