I imagine a surrealistic swan and phoenix having a conversation with each other about matters mundane, of import and of the infinite through their musical instruments. A free-flowing dialogue without the encumbrances of spoken language and without preconceptions of how the instruments are supposed to converse. And then I take a step back in thanks and awe that this recording happened with my good friend Luciana Bass, a brilliant musician from Argentina. The session we had was an enchantment...boundless ideas and surprising directions emerged at every turn. I feel this album has a very unique identity made of equal parts excitement, translucency and muscle. Thanks as always for listening.
