I like shaking up the aesthetic every now and again. This session feels like something from another time, one before recordings were expected to be perfect. What is perfection is playing music with a dear friend with no boundaries in genre, style, instrumentation, dimensionality, lead/accompaniment, foreground/background, or, indeed, expectations. It's a pleasure to present this document, a particular take on a particular take. Everything you hear is exactly what was played, and microphone serendipity determined the rest. There's no better way (I've found) to have at this. Thanks as always for listening.
